Diagnosed with PCOS at age 15, I started exploring the concept of food and movement as medicine. As a certified Functional Nutritionist and Registered Nurse, my work is a holistic approach to nutrition that addresses the root causes of health issues rather than just treating symptoms.
It recognizes the interconnectedness of various bodily systems and emphasizes the importance of individualized, whole-food-based dietary plans to support optimal health and well-being.

Meet Aly
AFTER GROWING UP WITH A CHRONIC ILLNESS, I WAS INSPIRED TO PURSUE A CAREER IN NURSING.
The challenges of this demanding career and my desire to optimize my health led me to become my own first client in the holistic health and wellness world.
I quickly learned how important it is to consider the whole person when trying to heal. Now, as a Registered Nurse and Restorative Wellness Practitioner, I help support clients in their own healing journeys by addressing the cause of symptoms and imbalances in the body and empowering them to take charge of their health.

I see it day in and day out.
What does this mean?

💊 Taking your vitamins, everyday.

• 1 cup water
• 1/4 cup grass-fed gelatin
• 1 cup maple syrup
• 1 tablespoon marshmallow root powder (ground)
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• Probiotics if desired (I used 4 capsules of MegaSporeBiotics)
How to prepare
1. In a small bowl, combine the gelatin and 1/2 cup of water. Let sit for 10 minutes, or until the gelatin has softened.
2. In a medium saucepan, combine the remaining 1/2 cup of water, honey, and marshmallow root powder. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
3. Once the mixture has come to a boil, simmer for 5 minutes, or until the honey or maple syrup has thickened.
4. Remove the pan from the heat and slowly whisk in the gelatin mixture. Continue whisking until the gelatin has completely dissolved.
5. Pour the marshmallow mixture down the side of the mixer bowl and mix on high speed for 5 or so minutes, or until the marshmallows are light and fluffy. Add vanilla extract and probiotics (open and empty if in capsule form)
6. Line a 9x9 inch baking pan with parchment paper or coconut oil and pour the marshmallows into the pan.

Have a toddler that doesn’t like veggies or protein? Try the bone broth protein and a smoothie mixed with greens.

While no sunset can compare to an ocean view sunset, I’ve been practicing with this my kiddo lately whether it is a late afternoon walk before starting dinner or a post dinner sunset…And he is sleeping a comfortable 12 straight hours! As a momma, I’m sold.

I love watching people’s morning routines. It’s a guilty pleasure. So, I figure I’d drop part of mine. This is basically the ideal morning, doing my skincare routine, making the bed, getting dressed (ish), getting laundry in, popping my supplements, and having a cup of coffee ALL before my 10 month old wakes up and I start my work day.
Does this happen everyday, nope, that would be the dream, but I’ll take my small victories here and there.
The basic shape of a morning routine should make you feel polished and ready (enough) for the day ahead. ✨It’s calm before the storm ✨
